Kristy is a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist working under the name KLR Bodyarchitect and co-director of Bene-Fit wellness solutions. She also writes a quarterly health and fitness column for NZ Weddings Magazine.
"I started my fitness career at 16, shadowing experienced trainers in gyms who I admired and who I could absorb the best techniques from. My Ballet and Jazz dance training fired up my love for teaching aerobics classes to others. I combined this with a Sport & Exercise Science degree to strengthen my knowledge of the body.
I love the creativity of fitness program design and I never give up until I have found what truly motivates or 'clicks' for my clients. My strongest skills are designing successful nutritional plans and assisting people with weight loss. I LIKE to get results.
I pride myself on being able to change people's mindset towards exercise and lifestyle.
My biggest personal achievement so far is running the New York Marathon (my first marathon) in under 4 hours!"

Lisa has over 25 years of teaching experience in the fitness industry here in NZ and abroad, which she brings to the Bene-Fit classes she runs.
"I have been teaching a wide range of ages in my classes for quite some time now, from the 3 year old at fun dance to the 76 year old grandma at Zumba.
Now I know no matter what age you are it's great to keep moving, have fun and maybe even a laugh! It's important to me that people enjoy their exercise sessions so they keep coming back for more.
I am very passionate about resistance training (weights!) and I have always loved ballet.
So by using the correct stance, posture and techniques learnt from ballet training mixed with the strength, power and toning from the weights, I found a wonderful combination that I am very passionate about to share with others.
My early years were spent dancing ... I was around for the head bands and leg warmers and all the high impact aerobics in the late 80s and early 90s, and I won the 1987 NZ Aerobic champs!
Thus the love of movement - and today I still love to teach group fitness and dance!"
After a knee surgery in 2013, Lisa also has a keen professional interest in helping clients who have suffered injury, and motivating people through the challenges of injury and rehab.
